Answered Prayers [Mar. 24th, 2012|01:37 am]
[Current Mood |cheerfulcheerful]
[Current Music |How Deep the Father's Love - Sarah Sadler]

God is good.

Prayer #1: God please post me to a vocation near my house and Your church
I'm now a specialist at Nee Soon camp towards becoming a Combat Engineer (Bridging/CBRD intake). Eventually, I'm gonna be posted to Seletar camp.

Prayer #2: Dear Lord, please do not let the army take away my time with your people
I entered the command school as a specialist instead of an officer. OCS will most likely rob me of my weekends with my physical capacity at a IPPT silver. Not to mention the huge amounts of stress.

Prayer #3: Lord, thank you for the wonderful friends that you have placed in my life. Please help me make time for them.
My 21st birthday significantly landed on my POP date. How about a week's block leave to allow me to hold my birthday party with all my close friends and family! That I have the honor to share the good news at the closing of the party. Not to mention of the many lovely gifts that the ones who came gave me.

Prayer #4: Dear Lord, I commit my IPPT silver in Your hands (during BMT)
For 5 weeks or so, I've never did more than 7 pull-ups since I enlisted. Night before IPPT, 6 pulls on the bar. 'NIGHTMARE!'
Committed the test to the Lord in prayer. Did an all-time high of 10 pulls. Com'on!

Prayer #5: Dear Lord, enable me to be an encouragement in my camp
Managed to pray openly for a few of my bunk mates prayers of blessing and healing for an OOC. While praying, my bunk mates were asking me to include them in my prayers :D

Prayer #6: Dear Lord, I can no longer stand a camp mate annoying me at every statement or actions I do
First, he had runs for the next 2-3 days. I had the opportunity express my concern for him. His annoyance persisted.
The Lord answered my cry and opened the door for this mate to crossover to OCS (moving out). Unfortunately, he failed the crossover, but our relationship brightened. Then the Lord spoke to me and revealed that above His mighty hand on my enemies, it is even more powerful for His grace to empower me to love my enemies; that my camp mate see Christ in me.

Prayer #7: Dear Lord, I commit my schedule in camp into your hands. May I have time to spend dwelling in Your Word
Almost every single day, God spoke to me in the Word no matter is it a single chapter or ten chapter! He gave me the discipline and courage to catch up even during live-ranges, field camps and even in the shell-scrape with a torch! Definitely,  a greater hunger for His voice!

These are just a few of the many prayers He has answered. He loves speaking to His speaking and answering to their needs. Above that, He just wants to remind us that this is a relationship and that He cares. Troubling circumstances stretches our faith that we'll then be able to fill these missing pieces with characters of Jesus. Marks of disciples as the name suggest.

God just helped me overcome probably one of the most exhausting week in my entire army life so far. Thank you Lord for your strength! Indeed, it's your joy.

Fixing my eyes on you.
